I am fun, kind-hearted, and young at heart. I work at Holly as the Assistant Manager. I am a certified Early Childhood Educator specializing in Infant and Toddler care. I received my education with Delta Continuing Ed.

A little bit about me

I have been a resident of North Delta all my life. I have always enjoyed Delta. It is beautiful, peaceful and green. I have now been able to offer this place that I have called home my whole life to my son to call home. Family is very important to me and we are lucky enough to be surrounded by my family and my husband’s family.  How did I end up in ECE you ask?  Ever since I can remember my mom has always watched the neighborhood children. I would get up in the morning for school and share my breakfast table with them. After school, someone would always be waiting for me at the window, ready to play as I walked through the door. Being around young children all my life has always been a catalyst to me becoming an educator now.
My interests include: crafting (of all sorts), camping, gaming, walks through the water shed and burns bog and watching cartoons! I guess you could say my interests and my lifestyle are what keep me young at heart.

Me and Childcare

Do you ever get the feeling that this is your chosen path? That this is what you were meant to do? When my mom brought me the idea about taking the ECE course, the light blub came on. At the time I was bartending and felt like I just existed. My job didn’t feel rewarding. The moment I stepped into a classroom full of children my world changed. Re-discovering the world through a child eyes is such a neat thing to be a part of. Everyday there is something new to explore or a funny moment just waiting to happen. I love getting all the children together and starting a great imaginative adventures through the play ground. Circle time is my favorite time of the day I enjoy singing children’s songs, telling stories, playing games, providing them with exciting facts and watching their expressions as they absorb all the neat stuff we have discussed. Becoming a mother myself has solidified my purpose as an Educator, my son inspires me to be the best version of myself for him and I am grateful to have the background in Early Childhood that I do as I feel like this was a strong foundation to raise him from.

Conclusion
I truly want to be a positive influence for children and make a difference in their lives. By choosing to work with children under the age of 5, I have an opportunity to help encourage their development and sense of how the world works. My joy comes from watching them succeed!
