OUT OF SCHOOL CARE

Our Out of School Care program consists of before school care and after school care. Before school care runs from 7:00am until school starts at 8:45am, and after school care begins at 3:00pm when school is dismissed and continues until closing, either 5:00pm or 6:00pm depending on location.

Our Brooke location serves Brooke Elementary. Our Memorial Park location serves Ladner Elementary and Neilson Grove.

After school, children have time to work on homework or reading, enjoy a snack, and engage in activities that interest them. Keeping with our Reggio Emilia philosophy, our planned activities are based on the children's interests. We offer a variety of open-ended art materials to explore and create with, along with plenty of outdoor time for both free play and planned games. In the classroom, we support children in being respectful of materials and encourage them to problem-solve independently.

Our program is open all day on district-wide professional development days and during school closures, including Spring Break and Summer Break. We keep these days fun and engaging with activities tailored to the weather and season, such as trips to the skating rink, bird sanctuary, or Delta Museum. For week-long closures, educators create a separate schedule packed with activities, which is shared with families ahead of time.

Summer Camp is also available for families who don't attend during the September–June school year. Please inquire for details.
